I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in 2013. I have an ever-growing elective practice in hip and knee surgery. My particular interests include hip and knee replacements, knee ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic knee surgery and computer navigated surgery.
I believe patients should be fully informed of their condition and treatment options so that they can make informed choices and participate in their treatment program to achieve the best outcome.
I graduated from Liverpool University in 1997 and completed basic medical training in the Merseyside region. I spent 2 years as a clinical research fellow in Coventry whilst studying for a diploma in Orthopaedic Engineering at Cardiff University.
I undertook higher surgical training as a specialist registrar in Trauma & Orthopaedics in Birmingham. I obtained the FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2010, completed my specialist training in 2011 before embarking on two Senior Fellowships to sub-specialise in hip, knee replacements, revisions and sports knee surgery.
I am an ATLS instructor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I am a Clinical Tutor and Educational Supervisor for the Foundation year Doctors. I participate in clinical trials and enjoy teaching.
